Tax day, April 15, 2009, was a day of mixed excitement and alarm.

On one hand, it is speculated that there were over 800 cities all over these United States in which were held organized Tea Party assemblies. People from all walks of life gathered together with one voice, hundreds of thousands in number, begging to be heard in Washington. With the peaceful protests they are requiring only that the Federal and State governments adhere to their constitutions, ensure the liberties and freedoms for which many of our fathers died, and limit government spending, thereby lowering our taxes.

On the other hand, it was heavily publicized that just one week earlier on April 7, within the same government being addressed, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published a bulletin warning of potential violence by "right-wing extremists" who, the report says, can be found among those against illegal immigration, increased federal power and taxation, gun control, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty.

People have said they don't understand the DHS report. "How could they think that the peace loving people who subscribe to the principles in this list could possibly be potentially violent? True conservatives don't go around blowing up buildings and committing mass murder."

Something is going on. The statement by DHS is not normal or reasonable. It is factually baseless. No less than fifty times in the DHS report are we referred to as "Rightwing extremists" and "Rightwing Terrorists". What is actually happening here?

Author, William Manning published an article in the Boston Independent Chronicle in 1798 in which he warned us of thieves eventually attempting to gain power through the control of government.

On Constitutions and Laws

The few have a great advantage over the many in forming and constructing constitutions and laws, and are highly interested in having them numerous, intricate, and as inexplicit as possible. By this, they take to themselves the right of giving them such explanations as suits their interests, and make places for numerous lawyers and judicial and executive officers, which adds greatly to their strength by numbers.

On the Medium of Trade

Money or a medium of trade is of such nature that there are innumerable ways by which the few can manage it to the injury of the many, such as erecting banks and using partiality in remittances, ruining public and private credit, and stopping the circulation of money, etc.; by which they can bring the many into distress and set them to quarreling and suing one another, and so make a plenty of business for their party.

On the Combinations of the Few

In a free government, the few, finding their schemes and views of interest borne down by the many, to gain the power they cannot constitutionally obtain, always endeavor to get it by cunning and corruption, conscious at the same time that usurpation, when once begun, the safety of the usurper consists only in grasping the whole. (Color and italics mine).

To a large part, the "few" have succeeded, but they left some things undone. This is America; a nation like none other. The few have not been able to put the many entirely in a state of unrest. There is a large remnant of patriots who still believe in proper government, which was evidenced by the masses of people gathering around the nation yesterday.

Now is the time when the constitutional usurpers must grasp the whole. There is a movement by the people to protect and regain that which was bought by the blood of our fathers. If the few do not move now, they will be exposed and defeated. It is that end they look on with fear.

Those in power, those who have gained position by deceit and lies are drawing a line in the sand. Realizing the existence of the movement for constitutionality in government, and realizing the impossibility of the retention of power and wealth in a constitutional government, they are compelled to make the move to obtain and control all. By defining constitutionalists as terrorists they are they are drawing a line in the sand saying that if you do not stand with, or at least tolerate us in our attempt to succeed in the takeover and restructuring of the greatest nation on earth, you will be marked a terrorist and treated accordingly.

Since when has constitutionalism been equated with TERRORISM?

It is my desire that the reader of this article be prompted to join with the US Taxpayers Party of Michigan and win this war through the ballot box so we can avoid any kind of physical confrontation as recently predicted by Ambassador Keyes and others. Let's win this battle for our states and nation with aggressive peace. Please get involved.
